India Blockchain Week (IBW) is a week-long series of web3 and blockchain events, taking place in Bengaluru from 1-7 December 2025 , with the flagship 2-day conference on 2-3 December in Bengaluru. IBW brings together global leaders, innovators, investors, developers, and communities through conferences, side-events, networking, and ecosystem collaborations. India Blockchain Week is an initiative of Hashed Emergent - an early stage crypto VC fund investing in emerging market opportunities, specifically in India and Africa and authoring the industry’s flagship annual report - India Web3 Landscape Report.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Head of Events to lead India Blockchain Week 2025. This role requires complete ownership of the Events P&L and end-to-end leadership of all functions, from sponsorships and partnerships to speakers, content, logistics, marketing, production, and on-ground execution. The Head of Events will be the central driver of IBW’25, ensuring that it delivers exceptional value to attendees, partners, and the global web3 ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the overall strategy for IBW’25 and forthcoming yearly editions, including event formats, agenda, and attendee experience.
Own the Events P&L, managing revenue generation (ticketing, sponsorships, partnerships) and cost budgeting (venue, production, operations).
Secure, manage, and nurture sponsorships and partnerships across protocols, corporates, investors, and media.
Design the content strategy and speaker program, ensuring relevance, diversity, and global impact.
Lead all operations and logistics, including venue management, production design, A / V setup, security, catering, and vendor management.
Develop and implement the marketing, advertising, PR, and community strategy to drive awareness, ticket sales, and brand positioning.
Build and manage a team of around 10 core members, 100+ volunteers, and multiple external vendors, ensuring strong coordination and delivery.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the global web3 ecosystem to co-create side events and partnerships.
Track KPIs such as attendance, revenue, satisfaction, and media coverage, ensuring IBW is recognized as a top-tier global web3 event.
Oversee risk management, compliance, and contingency planning to guarantee smooth execution.
Deliver post-event evaluations and improvement plans.

Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of experience in leading large-scale events or conferences, preferably in tech or web3.

Proven track record of owning P&L and delivering profitable, high-impact events.

Deep understanding of the blockchain and web3 ecosystem, including key players, protocols, and trends.

Strong commercial skills with experience in sponsorship sales, negotiations, and partnerships.

Excellent project management and operational skills, with the ability to coordinate complex multi-track events.

Strong leadership and team-management capabilities, with experience managing both in-house teams and volunteers.

Familiarity with event marketing, PR, and community-driven growth.

Financial and budgeting acumen.

Ability to thrive under pressure, adapt to changing needs, and work flexible hours leading up to and during the event.

Proven experience in managing international delegates and industry leaders, and delivering events at a truly global quality and scale.

Role Details

Location : Bengaluru, India (with flexibility, but onsite leadership required in the run-up to and during IBW’25).

Team : 5+ + ~100 event volunteers, multiple vendors.
