Role Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and visionary President to lead the Institute through this founding phase of growth, innovation, and global impact.

GIFT International Fintech Institute is a world-class institution that has recently been established in GIFT City, Gandhinagar , India’s first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). Founded to catalyze excellence in financial technology education, research, and innovation, the Institute serves as a global hub for developing future-ready fintech talent and fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and policy-makers. The Institute’s focus ranges from financial services to regulation. The International Fintech Institute is managed by Ahmedabad University and IIT Gandhinagar.

Gift International Fintech Institute works closely with industry in helping develop talents.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and academic leadership to establish the Institute as a global fintech centre of excellence
  • Build world-class skill-building and research programs in collaboration with international partners
  • Forge strong linkages with regulators (including IFSCA), fintech companies, global universities, and think tanks
  • Champion innovation, entrepreneurship, and policy-oriented research in financial technology

Ideal Candidate Profile :

  • Proven leadership experience in academia, public policy, fintech, or international financial institutions in a senior position
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder initiatives and build world-class institutions
  • Strong understanding of fintech ecosystems, digital finance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Deep commitment to research, education, innovation, and capacity-building
  • Holds a PhD, MBA, or other relevant advanced degree from a reputed institution
  • 15-20 years of experience in a leadership role will be preferred
  • Should be less than 70 years age
