About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Sous Chef to join our fast-growing pizza brand — Hundo Pizza.
The ideal candidate combines strong culinary expertise with operational excellence, leading kitchen teams, ensuring consistency across outlets, and fostering a culture of quality, efficiency, and discipline.
You’ll be second-in-command in the kitchen, managing day-to-day execution, training, and coordination between stores, the central kitchen, and the operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Excellence
- Oversee daily food prep, pizza dough production, and topping stations.
- Maintain brand standards in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, and hygiene (FSSAI).
- Support R&D trials and menu rollouts with the Head Chef.
- Conduct regular tastings and training sessions for consistency.
Team Leadership & Culture
Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff across shifts.Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and discipline.Conduct recipe and hygiene training programs.Maintain a positive and professional kitchen environment.Operational & Material Management
Handle Barometer or inventory software for daily indents and stock tracking.Monitor FIFO, reduce wastage, and maintain accurate consumption data.Coordinate with procurement and the central kitchen for timely replenishment.Support internal audits and reporting.️ Coordination & Administration
Manage shift rosters, attendance, and kitchen staff performance logs.Support new store openings and menu launches.Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, and HR teams for smooth kitchen functioning.Requirements
Experience :
4–6 years in QSR / casual dining / delivery-based kitchens (pizza, bakery, or continental preferred).Experience managing large kitchen teams (15+ people) and multiple stations.Skills :
Deep knowledge of pizza dough, fermentation, sauces, toppings, and baking.Proficient in Excel and kitchen management tools (Barometer, Petpooja, POS).Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking skills.Strong focus on hygiene, quality, and process discipline.Education :
Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts (preferred).Personality Fit
