Job Title : Business Data Analyst / SME – Commercial US Pharma / Oncology
Location : Bangalore / Pune / Noida
Experience : 5+ years (US Pharma / Oncology / Innovative Medicines)
Role Summary
This role supports the US Oncology field teams by acting as the SME for their business processes, CRM workflows, and integrated data flows. You will work closely with MSLs, FRMs, OCEs, Oncology Specialists, and Account Business Specialists to translate real-world field operations into optimized processes, CRM workflows, and data-driven insights.
You will be the bridge between Field Teams, Commercial Excellence, IT / CRM, and Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Process & Workflow Mapping
- Document and maintain process maps for key commercial and medical workflows (Buy & Bill cycle, patient identification, reimbursement pathway).
- Define cross-functional handoffs and ensure compliant collaboration between promotional and non-promotional teams.
CRM Workflow Design (Veeva / Salesforce)
Act as the business SME for CRM workflows and field-facing platforms.Translate field processes into functional requirements for IT; design workflows, data capture fields, and system logic.Field Force Effectiveness (FFE) Insights
Analyze CRM and field activity data to identify process gaps and bottlenecks.Contribute to dashboards / KPIs (e.g., patient identification to infusion time, reimbursement barrier resolution rate).Functional Subject Matter Expertise
Serve as the internal expert on field roles : MSL, FRM, OCE, Oncology Specialist, ABS.Support training programs and onboarding related to field processes and integrated commercial model.Strategic / Analytics Support
Contribute to process optimization, automation, and AI-driven initiatives by providing business logic and workflow expertise.Required Skills & Expertise
Technical Skills
Strong SQL and BI tools (Power BI / Tableau).Experience in process mapping (Visio or similar).CRM expertise with Veeva or Salesforce.Python / R familiarity is a plus.Functional Knowledge (Must-Have)
5+ years of US Pharma or Biotech experience, preferably Oncology.Deep understanding of field roles and workflows :Buy & Bill model and reimbursement processes.FRM : Prior authorizations, reimbursement support, PSP workflows.MSL : Scientific exchange, RWE / HEOR discussions, KOL engagement.OCE : Clinical / infusion training, REMS support.Sales / Account roles (OS / ABS) : Hospital / IDN engagement.Preferred
Experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Ops, Field Force Effectiveness, or GCC / KPO pharma analytics.Experience in Oncology or Cell & Gene Therapy is a plus.
