Job Title : Generative AI Engineer (Core FastAPI Development)

Location : Bengaluru / Mumbai

Job Type : : Fulltime

Experience : 8-10 Years

Work Mode : Hybrid

Shift : 2nd Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a Generative AI Engineer with strong expertise in FastAPI development to design, build, and deploy robust backend systems powering next-generation AI applications. You will work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable and high-performing AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Python and FastAPI .
  • Develop and expose RESTful APIs for AI-powered services ensuring security, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement prompt engineering , retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) , and embedding techniques to enhance AI model performance.
  • Integrate vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, ChromaDB) for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and deploy AI solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines for continuous model integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend and AI systems for performance and scalability.
  • Stay updated with advancements in LLMs, generative AI, and backend technologies.
  • Document APIs, workflows, and architectures for team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field .
  • 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and FastAPI .
  • Proven experience deploying Generative AI models (LLMs, GANs, VAEs) in production.
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases .
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI models with RESTful APIs and managing secure API authentication.
  • Proficiency in Docker , Kubernetes , and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) .
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
