Summary

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW TEAM MEMBER! JOIN US! LSEG is looking to recruit a Legal Counsel to join the Markets Legal Team. The successful candidate should have a proven record of client service and a practical, problem-solving approach to support the business globally. They will be a hands-on and proactive general commercial lawyer to provide specialist and strategic legal advice to LSEG's Markets Division. This role is based in Mumbai.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Supporting the business with a wide range of legal advice across many jurisdictions and becoming a key point of contact and go-to person for the sales team.
• Collaborating with senior lawyers on strategic and corporate initiatives, and regulatory analysis.
• Drafting and negotiating agreements with customers, vendors, partners and other third parties, including data licenses, software and intellectual property licenses, intercompany and outsourcing agreements and other commercial agreements.
• Maintaining, updating and revising contract template agreements, rule books and supporting process improvement and automation within the Legal team.
• Working closely with Compliance, implementing internal controls, policies and procedures to increase efficiencies and assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, corporate policies and ethical standards.
