THE ROLE :

AMD is looking for an influential application support engineer who is passionate about driving customer success . You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technologies.

THE PERSON :

The ideal candidate should be passionate about customer success, customer sentiment and possess leadership and technical skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Be the technical focal point for assigned customers covering key AMD hardware and software solutions
  • Triage, troubleshoot and resolve customer reported issues
  • Drive resolution of customer found defects with internal teams with proper validations and documentation
  • Work with AMD s architecture specialists to improve future products
  • Provide systems / product training to customers and build a knowledge base for customer support and internal partners
  • Build tooling to improve customer experience with deployment and operations
  • Be part of an on-call rotation to support production systems

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

  • Experience with working directly with end customers and driving customer success
  • Strong fundamentals in Datacenter Networking, Routing & Switching incl. load balancing (ECMP), underlay / overlay technologies
  • Strong scripting skills in Python / Go / Shell scripting
  • Familiarity with GPU operations, Collective Communication Libraries, modern AI training contexts
  • Familiarity with InfiniBand protocol & RDMA including setup, bring up, troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with RoCE v2 congestion control protocols
  • Familiarity with NCCL / RCCL test benchmarks
  • Familiarity with C / C++
  • Familiarity with DPU and SmartNics
  • Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, and source code control systems (GitHub) is a plus
  • ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS :

  • Bachelor s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
