We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic candidate to join our Catastrophe Modelling team. This role will be based in Mumbai This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office
Associate Director – Marsh Catastrophe Risk Services
We will count on you to :
- Ensure smooth, timely & utmost quality delivery for all the Marsh clients across the globe using Moody’s Risklink, Verisk’s Touchstone & CoreLogic
- Be the point of contact for all the project leads and act as a liaison between business and team in execution of the projects
- Assist with Cat modelling R&D projects to further develop knowledge on model methodologies.
- Challenge the status quo on the existing ways of working and propose new ways to achieve more efficiency.
- Coach and mentor the team members to bridge their capability gaps for the current and future needs of the business.
- Help in identifying new areas of opportunity to expand services to new business divisions / regions.
- Build internal documentation and training presentations around process specifications.
- Lead automation projects by interacting with other teams within the BU thereby creating a cross-team collaboration environment.
- Proactive interaction with stakeholders on modelling requirements and ad-hoc requests.
What you need to have :
Degree in Engineering / Mathematics / Statistics or related fields.
10+ years of experience that incorporates the following areas :
Cat modeling expertise on multiple perils & lines of business across geographies.Proficient in stochastic modeling & SQL with knowledge in R / Python / GIS tools an added advantage.Delivery management experience – demonstrated ability to present, communicate, and deliver technical content to internal stakeholders and external clients on complex subject matterCollaboration experience - working in multi-disciplinary teams of risk engineers, actuaries, catastrophe modelers an added plus.What makes you stand out?
