Job Overview

We are looking for an AI Engineering Manager to lead a team of 5 – 10 engineers . You will be responsible for building, delivering, and scaling products that impact millions of users. This is a fast-moving environment, so speed, clarity, and ownership matter a lot.

Key Responsibilities

1.Team Leadership :

  • Lead a team of 5–10 engineers.
  • Teach your team the full tech lifecycle — from design, development, and deployment to maintenance.
  • Build a team culture of trust, learning, and accountability.
  • Help your team members grow in their careers.
  • Conduct team-building activities and learning sessions regularly.

2.Delivery and Execution :

  • Make sure your team delivers new features regularly.
  • Plan and manage sprints with inputs from Product and Design teams.
  • Handle technical debt smartly and keep systems healthy
  • Maintain good communication with QA and DevOps for smooth releases

    • 3.AI Systems :

  • Build multi-modal AI systems (text, image, voice, etc.) with high accuracy and strong user engagement.
  • Develop AI evaluation frameworks to regularly measure and maintain model quality.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines for clean and efficient data ingestion.
  • Build reusable services and frameworks that can work across multiple LLMs, vector databases, and data ingestors.
  • Continuously stay updated with the latest AI tools, resea rch, and trends , and bring practical innovations into the product.

    • 4.Technical Ownership :

  • Guide your team on large projects or improvements that help the company scale better.
  • Design and build reusable tools or platforms that other teams can use.
  • Create centralised solutions for common developer needs like logging, auth, or monitoring.
  • Monitor and improve technical health — cloud cost, error rates, API speed, database performance, and alert systems.
  • Use AI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to design internal agents that improve developer productivity.
  • Maintain clear documentation for key systems and processes.
  • Support tech marketing by writing blogs or case studies about key engineering work.
  • Ensure good test coverage is maintained across all services.
  • Establish engineering rituals (design reviews, postmortems, chapter forums) and uphold high bars for code quality, testing, security, and documentation

    • Requirements

  • Experience working in a tier 1 company / vc funded startup for 5 + years.
  • Prior experience of managing a team.
  • Core Expertise in both frontend and backend systems in either (Node Js / Python - Backend) and (React / Equivalent - Frontend)
  • Prior experience of working with LLM stack (Observability, LLMs, Vector databases, Re rankers)
  • Experience with multiple cloud technologies including databases / servers / CDNs / API gateways / Load balancers.
  • 5+ Years of experience in core tech companies
  • Will be an in office role.
  • Commitment to excellence and not settling for bare minimum.
