Job description

We are looking for a highly capable and technically adept Incident Recovery Lead to drive end-to-end management and resolution of Major & critical incidents across our Open RAN and cloud-native 5 G core infrastructure.

You will take ownership of real-time incident management coordination, orchestrating recovery efforts across disaggregated RAN components (DU, CU, RU), 5 G Core Network Functions (AMF, SMF, UPF, etc.), and the underlying Kubernetes-based cloud platforms. This role is vital in ensuring high service availability and meeting SLA targets in a distributed, virtualized, and automated network environment.

Act as the central incident commander during high-severity network events impacting RAN or 5 GC workloads.

Principle Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate cross-domain recovery teams spanning Open RAN, IP Transport, 5 G core, orchestration, and cloud infra (Kubernetes, CNFs / VMs).
  • Lead incident bridges and war rooms withstructured approach and clear technical guidance while maintaining regular customer and stakeholder updates.
  • Interface with vendors and partners when required and assure the effectiveness of the ecosystem for a speedy recovery.
  • Own and continuously evolve the incident recovery framework, including playbooks, escalation paths, and recovery automation pipelines.
  • Drive Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) with initial RCA, impact analysis, and actionable remediation plans.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs such a MTTR, and Network performance during incidents.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives including training sessions, simulation drills, and knowledge sharing to strengthen the operational readiness of the incident response team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security policies during incident handling and data collection.
  • Support capacity planning and change management processes by providing incident trend analysis and risk assessment insights.

Qualification & Required Skills :

  • Bachelor degree in Telecom / ICT engineering or equivalent , Master degree will be a plus.
  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications network operations, incident management, or network engineering.
  • Proven track record in managing high-severity incidents in complex, multi-vendor mobile network environments.
  • Strong Knowledge of Open RAN architecture and 5 G core networks in cloud-native environments.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, CNFs, container orchestration, and cloud-native infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Excellent analytical and root cause analysis skills.
  • Calm under pressure, decisive in critical situations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with proven capabilities of effectively managing high base of internal and external stakeholders.
