Job Title : Oracle Cloud HCM Functional Consultant – Core HR & Compensation

Role Overview
As a Functional Consultant for Oracle Cloud HCM – Core HR & Compensation, you will act as a subject-matter expert for these modules, working closely with HR stakeholders, business partners and IT. You will lead requirement workshops, map business processes to system features, configure the application, support testing and deployment, and ensure value is delivered to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead gathering of business requirements for Core HR (legal entity, business unit, department, jobs / positions / assignments) and Compensation (eligibility, budget modelling, award components) modules.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis, map requirements to Oracle Cloud HCM functionality and work with stakeholders to define solution options.
- Configure the system : enterprise structures, worker / assignment data, security roles, compensation plans & budget frameworks across global / multinational contexts.
- Collaborate with integration, reporting and data migration teams (e.g., HCM Extracts, HDL, BI / OTBI) to ensure smooth data flow and reporting of comp & hr metrics.
- Support testing phases : unit, system, UAT – develop test scripts, facilitate user training, validate results and assist with go-live cutover and post-go-live stabilisation.
- Provide operational support and continual improvement : monitor business usage, propose process optimisations, stay updated with Oracle Cloud HCM releases and enhancements.
- Work effectively in cross-functional / multicultural settings and liaise with global teams as needed (India / EMEA / APAC).
Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory :
Bachelor’s degree in IT, or related discipline.5+ years of experience working with Oracle Cloud HCM (preferably Core HR and Compensation modules).Hands-on configuration experience of Core HR foundational setups and Compensation plan frameworks.Good functional knowledge of HR processes (recruit to retire), compensation management, employee lifecycle, and how these map into Cloud HCM.Good English verbal & written skills, and ability to work in India time-zone plus cross-geography collaboration.Desirable :
Oracle Cloud HCM certification (e.g., Implementation Specialist).Experience in global / multi-country deployments (multi-currency, localisation, global dimensions).Exposure to related modules such as Workforce Compensation, Absence Management, Work structure setup.Experience with HCM Extracts, HDL, OTBI, BI Publisher, FAST Formula, security modelling.Consulting experience, client-facing roles, change management / training exposure.
