SOC Analyst

Job Title : SOC Analyst Location : Trichy Experience : 1 5 Years Employment Type : Full-time About the Role :

We are seeking a proactive and analytical SOC Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities :

Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, Sentinel).

Perform initial triage, investigation, and escalation of security incidents.

Analyze and respond to security threats, including malware, phishing, and intrusion attempts.

Conduct log analysis from firewalls, endpoints, and network devices.

Maintain incident documentation and prepare reports for management.

Collaborate with IT and security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and improve detection capabilities.

Participate in threat-hunting activities to proactively identify potential risks.

Assist in tuning SIEM rules and correlation logic to reduce false positives.

Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

1 5 years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity operations role.

Hands-on experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.

Knowledge of incident response, threat analysis, and network security fundamentals.

Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

CompTIA Security+

Certified SOC Analyst (EC-Council CSA)

CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

Splunk Certified Power User / Analyst

GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
