TCS is hiring for Mainframe Developer

Desired Experience : 5 to 10 Years

Job Locations : Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad / Pune

Job Description :

  • 8 + years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development
  • Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM and IMS DB / DC.
  • Knowledge of Mainframe Utilities (Panvalet, Endevor, IDCAMS, SORT, etc.) and scheduling tools (CA7,Control-M)
  • Familiarity with API enablement, microservice integration or mainframe modernization initiatives.
  • Experience working in a multi-shore model (onsite-offshore), with excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural principles.
  • Translate business requirements and user stories into technical design documents and specifications.
  • Conduct technical design and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and compliance with platform best practices.
  • Act as the "go-to" technical expert for complex development issues, providing hands-on coding and debugging support when necessary.
  • Lead the Development process using the standard mainframe tools.
