Role : Associate Director, Data Architecture

Position Type : Full-Time Contract (40hrs / week)

Contract Duration : 3 Months+ (with a possibility of Contract-to-Hire)

Work Hours : IST

Work Schedule : 8 hours / day (Mon-Fri)

Location : Ahmedabad, India (5days / week)

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture and drive digital transformation across Marketing, Product, Finance, Supply Chain, and global business teams. This role will define the company’s data vision, architect scalable platforms, and guide engineering teams while influencing cross-functional stakeholders. Experience in CPG / FMCG data, marketing technology, and advanced analytics is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards.

Lead data governance, quality, privacy, and compliance initiatives (GDPR / CCPA).

Architect modern data platforms including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming solutions (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Kafka).

Ensure architecture supports marketing technologies and commercial analytics (CDP, MMM, ProfitSphere).

Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, and IT to integrate data sources and enable business impact.

Optimize cloud data flows, pipelines, storage, metadata, and observability.

Drive AI / ML enablement for forecasting, personalization, and advanced analytics.

Lead and mentor data engineering and analytics teams through influence.

Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new data tools / technologies.

Provide executive-level reporting and architectural recommendations.

Required Qualifications

18+ years of experience in Information Technology

8+ years in data architecture or data engineering.

Expertise designing large-scale, distributed data systems and modern cloud architectures.

Strong understanding of CPG / FMCG data use cases and marketing analytics tools (CDP, MMM, ProfitSphere).

Knowledge of TOGAF or similar frameworks (certification not required).

Strong skills in data warehousing, ELT / ETL, data modeling (dimensional & schema design), and SQL.

Experience with Snowflake, AWS / Azure / GCP, Databricks, Kafka.

Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.

Excellent communication skills with ability to lead cross-functional global teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business strategy.
