Role & responsibilities
- Assist with monthly bookkeeping for U.S. clients using QuickBooks Desktop
- Support bank and credit card reconciliations, cleanup, and tie-outs
- Prepare draft financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, GL review) for review
- Assist with U.S. payroll processing using QuickBooks Payroll / ADP / Gusto
- Support payroll compliance filings 941, 940, W-2, 1099, DE 9 / DE 9C
- Assist with U.S. state sales tax filings including California CDTFA
- Maintain accurate workpapers and monthly closing schedules
- Follow process checklists and workflows
- Coordinate with senior accountants for review comments and adjustments
- Respond to basic IRS / State payroll / sales tax notices using templates
- Contribute to a team-based environment with daily coordination and reporting
Preferred candidate profile
3-5 years hands-on experience with U.S. bookkeeping and payroll (required)Must have strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop (required)Working knowledge of QuickBooks Payroll, ADP or Gusto payroll platformsFamiliar with U.S. payroll compliance forms (941, 940, W-2, 1099, DE 9 / DE 9C)Experience assisting with state sales tax filings (CDTFA preferred)Strong reconciliation and month-end accounting skillsGood verbal and written English communicationDetail-oriented, dependable, and team-mindedCertifications (optional) : QuickBooks Certified, NIIT / ICAI ATC, Excel CertificationMust be willing to work U.S. shift (1 : 30 PM 10 : 30 PM IST)Only candidates with U.S. accounting process experience should apply. Indian taxation or Tally-only profiles will not be considered.
