About the Role

You’ll be the backbone of our backend — leading the architecture, performance, and reliability of our systems. As a key member of our tech leadership, you’ll mentor developers, collaborate across teams, and build for scale.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & mentor backend developers — ensuring code quality, growth, and collaboration
  • Own and optimize backend logic, architecture, and performance
  • Review code, set standards, and uphold engineering best practices
  • Architect scalable APIs, data models, and backend systems
  • Work cross-functionally with product, frontend, and DevOps teams
  • Lead with empathy and foster an open, growth-driven culture
  • Continuously innovate to enhance system efficiency and scalability

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend development experience
  • Expertise in Python & Django (FastAPI / Celery a plus)
  • Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL), RESTful APIs , and caching systems (Redis / Memcached)
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS / GCP / Azure) & CI / CD pipelines
  • Strong architectural and scalability skills
  • Leadership experience with the ability to guide and inspire teams
  • High emotional intelligence and collaboration mindset

    • Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Docker / Kubernetes & asynchronous frameworks (Celery / FastAPI)
  • Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Prior experience in a team lead role
