Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in automobile HVAC design to join our team at Valeo India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end mechanical design and development of HVAC components, ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards and functional requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop 3D CAD models for plastic injection molded parts using Catia V5 (R24)Design components using constrained sketches , Boolean operations , and inner / outer methodologyWork within product structures utilizing multi-skeleton methodologyExecute detailed HVAC component design in accordance with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principlesPrepare technical proposals and participate in technical presentationsCreate detailed drawings with GD&T , considering manufacturing processes and measurement techniquesConduct tolerance stack-up analysis for critical componentsPerform self-checks of designs to eliminate CAD quality, DFM, and DFA issuesInvestigate vehicle packaging constraints and modify concepts accordinglyManage data effectively in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systemsEnsure timely and cost-effective delivery of assigned tasksMandatory Skills
Proficiency in Catia V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drawing)Strong understanding of HVAC systems in the automotive domainIn-depth knowledge of plastic injection molding and casting processesFamiliarity with ISO GD&T standards and functional dimensioningAbility to perform tolerance stack-up analysisCompetency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing specs
