Role Description

This is a contract-based remote role for a Video Editor. We’re looking to start working with someone contractually, eventually moving them to a full-time role.

Video on social platforms is one of the most important elements of our growth engine - both as paid performance ads, as well as organic content. We're looking for an editor who can help us create thumb-stopping videos that tell interesting stories.

The editor will also have ownership of the overall storytelling, which, over time, will include contributing to scripting, planning B-roll, screenplay / direction, camerawork and other parts of the entire video creation process. We will also need them to take charge of project management for video development - essentially track videos from ideation to completion.

Preferences

• Proficiency in video editing, with a focus on social media and streaming; eagerness to explore new media (especially generative AI)
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience with D2C brands
• Good skills to have : strong communication, attention to detail and project management
• Prior experience in contract-based roles or remote work is beneficial
• Experience in developing Branding concepts and materials is a bonus
• Bachelor’s degree in animation, editing, fine arts or a related field preferred
