Role Description

This is a part-time, remote contract role for an experienced Data Scientist with 9+ years in the field. The Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex datasets, developing models and algorithms, creating insightful visualizations, and providing recommendations based on data-driven findings. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve critical business challenges and support decision-making processes.

Qualifications

M.S. / Ph.D. in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations

Research, or Telecommunications Engineering

Experience  5–8 years in network analytics, geospatial analytics, infrastructure

planning, or commercial data science

Core Technical  : Strong skills in  Scala or PySpark , Spark DataFrame processing,

Python (pandas / numpy), SQL

Geospatial  : Experience with  GIS datasets , GeoPandas / QGIS, gridding / spatial

clustering, coverage / footprint analysis

Financial Modeling :

Strong understanding of ROI / NPV modeling and cost-benefit evaluation

Domain Knowledge :

Familiarity with telecom KPIs (RSRP, SINR, PRB, ARPU), demand /

capacity interplay, radio and / or fiber deployment principles

Soft Skills  Clear communication, structured reasoning, ability to interface withStrong expertise in Data Science and Data Analysis

Proficiency in Statistics and Data Analytics methodologies

Experience with Data Visualization tools and techniques to convey insights effectively

Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and deliver results in a remote and part-time capacity

Master’s or higher degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus
