Litigation Manager

Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Law (LLB) required; LLM or relevant certifications preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation and contract management, ideally within NBFC or financial services sectors. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to advise senior management confidently. Experience in digital lending or SME finance is highly desirable. Exceptional drafting skills and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead litigation and dispute resolution activities, including managing court cases, drafting pleadings, supervising external counsel, and coordinating internal legal strategy.
- Evaluate legal risks associated with operational issues in digital SME lending and services, providing proactive advice to business units.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a variety of contracts including service agreements, SaaS agreements, partner / vendor MoUs, NDAs, and terms and conditions for digital products.
- Conduct due diligence on partners, vendors, and digital platform integrations to mitigate risks.
- Provide legal counsel ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations such as RBI guidelines, data privacy laws, and consumer protection statutes.
- Liaise effectively with regulators, courts, and external legal advisors on ongoing legal matters.
- Monitor litigation trends and regulatory changes, incorporating insights into company policies and processes.
- Develop and deliver legal training and awareness programs for business and product teams.
