Suzie’s is a garden restaurant located in the scenic by-lanes of Assagao, North Goa, offering a unique culinary experience. The restaurant is celebrated for its playful fusion cuisine that combines local produce with diverse cooking styles and techniques. The menu is dynamic, changing four to five times a year to reflect the seasonal flavors of Goa. Complementing the innovative dishes, Suzie’s serves handcrafted, meticulously curated cocktails, making every dining experience memorable.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commis Chef (Commis 1 / 2 / 3) at Suzie’s, located in North Goa. The candidate will assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes as part of the kitchen team. Responsibilities include maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring proper storage of ingredients, and supporting kitchen operations as directed by senior chefs.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of diverse cuisines and an interest in fusion cooking
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Relevant culinary certification or training is an advantage
  • Prior experience in a professional kitchen, especially in a fine dining or fusion restaurant, is preferred
  • A passion for innovation in cuisine and attention to detail
