Job description
  • Ensure all IT solutions follow agreed architectural methodologies.
  • Manage business requirements, contain development costs, and reduce the time to delivery.
  • Ensure the quality and security of IT Infrastructure platforms.
  • Deploy stable and flexible IT infrastructure enabling easy maintenance and updates for future demand.
  • Ensure infrastructure reliability by design, including disaster recovery capabilities.

    • Key Responsibilities

    • Design and Architecture : Develop and maintain the architecture and design of the VMWare infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
    • Implementation : Install, configure, and manage VMWare environments (VMware Cloud Foundation).
    • Security : Implement and maintain security best practices within the VMWare infrastructure
    • Backup and Recovery : Assist in the creation of Backup and Recovery practices
    • Automation : Utilize Aria automation tools and scripts to streamline repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce administrative overhead.
    • Collaboration : Work closely with other IT teams, including network, storage, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and support of the VMWare environment.
    • Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the VMWare infrastructure, including design diagrams, configuration settings, and operational procedures.
    • Continuous Improvement : Stay current with the latest advancements in VMWare technologies and Aria automation, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the virtual infrastructure.

      • Required Qualifications

    • A bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, such as CI / CD, Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
    • Proven experience in Unix and Windows system administration, with a focus on virtualized infrastructure provisioning using VMWare.
    • Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
    • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.

    • Problem-Solving :   Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
    • Communication :   Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
