Cloud / Edge Engineer – GKE Specialist

Location : PAN India

Experience : 4 to 9 years

Qualification : BTech / BE or Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud / Edge Engineer with deep expertise in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and edge computing technologies. This role involves architecting and deploying edge clusters across distributed environments, integrating advanced storage and control plane solutions, and managing centralized workloads on GCP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy Kubernetes-based edge clusters (K3s) across distributed restaurant environments.
  • Integrate shared storage using Rook.io and manage persistent volumes across edge nodes.
  • Implement Kosmotron for multi-cluster Kubernetes control plane management.
  • Extend Kubernetes capabilities to edge devices using KubeEdge for real-time device communication.
  • Deploy and manage workloads on Google Cloud GKE for centralized analytics and cloud-native services.
  • Leverage CloudCore for edge node coordination and data synchronization.

Required Skills

  • GCP Expertise : Strong hands-on experience with GKE, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and other GCP services.
  • Containerization : Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Experience with Terraform, Helm, and Deployment Manager.
  • DevOps Practices : CI / CD, GitOps, automated testing, and release management.
  • Security : IAM, VPC design, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Programming Languages : Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for automation and cloud-native development.
