Location : Chennai, TN / Pune, MH

Experience : 4-6 Years

Duration of Project : 6 months (may exceed)

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with 4-6 years of experience to join our team in Chennai or Pune for a project duration of 6 months (with potential for extension). This role is critical for the development, configuration, and customization of the client's ServiceNow platform, focusing on enhancing core IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities and driving process automation.

Responsibilities :

Platform Development : Design, develop, and implement solutions, modules, and functionalities within the ServiceNow platform using advanced techniques in JavaScript, Glide Scripting (Client and Server side), HTML, and CSS.
Module Configuration : Lead the configuration and customization of core ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management according to business requirements.
Workflow Automation : Develop complex workflows, business rules, UI policies, UI actions, and client scripts to automate and streamline IT service delivery and business processes.
Integration : Design and implement robust integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise applications using standard protocols like REST and SOAP APIs.
Data Management : Work with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data integrity, modeling new Configuration Items (CIs), and managing relationships.
Testing and Quality : Conduct thorough unit testing and integration testing of all developed code and configurations, and actively participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
Support and Maintenance : Assist in platform upgrades, patching, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring optimal system performance and stability.

Required Skill Set (Mandatory Skills) :

Experience : 4-6 years of hands-on development and implementation experience within the ServiceNow platform.

Scripting : Strong proficiency in JavaScript and advanced expertise in various ServiceNow Glide Scripting APIs (Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes).

ITSM Modules : Deep functional and technical knowledge of configuring and customizing key ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog).

Integration : Proven experience developing inbound and outbound integrations using REST and / or SOAP Web Services.

Web Technologies : Solid understanding of core web technologies (HTML, CSS).

Preferred Skills :

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.

Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as IT Operations Management (ITOM) or HR Service Delivery (HRSD).

Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and working with tools like JIRA.

Experience with Service Portal development using Angular JS.
