About the Role

We are seeking a talented

Database Administrator (DBA)

with strong expertise in

Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL)

to support, optimize, and scale our cloud database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our AWS-hosted databases while collaborating closely with engineering and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and maintain

Aurora PostgreSQL

clusters on AWS.

Handle

backup, restore, replication , and

failover

configurations for production systems.

Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database performance.

Monitor and troubleshoot database health using

Amazon CloudWatch ,

Performance Insights , and other tools.

Implement and enforce database

security, compliance , and

cost optimization

best practices.

Partner with DevOps and application teams to support

scalable deployments

and efficient data workflows.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience managing

Aurora PostgreSQL

databases in production.

In-depth knowledge of

AWS RDS ,

IAM ,

CloudWatch , and

VPC networking .

Strong SQL skills with a focus on

query tuning ,

index optimization , and

performance troubleshooting .

Experience with

replication ,

backups , and

disaster recovery

strategies.

Exposure to

automation tools

such as

Terraform ,

CloudFormation , or

Ansible

is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

AWS Certified Database – Specialty

(or other relevant AWS certifications).
