Immediate Start : Research and Development Executive - Silicone Extrusions

As part of our growth, we are seeking a skilled Research and Development Executive to lead product development and set up production lines for scalable manufacturing.

Job Role :

The Research and Development Executive will focus on developing new rubber and silicone products, optimizing production processes, and setting up production lines with the necessary machinery. This role is critical for ensuring efficient production and delivering high-performance products to the market.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Product Development :

o Design and develop rubber and silicone products, including tubes, hoses, FBD gaskets, profiles, and molded components.

o Innovate and optimize rubber and silicone compounding formulations to meet specific application needs.

o Conduct trials and validations to ensure product quality, durability, and compliance with industry standards.

2. Production Line Setup :

o Plan, design, and implement production lines for manufacturing rubber and silicone products.

o Identify, source, and oversee the installation of required machinery and equipment.

o Ensure seamless integration of production lines into the overall manufacturing workflow.

3. Process Optimization :

o Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.

o Troubleshoot and resolve production-related challenges to ensure smooth operations.

4. Tooling and Machinery Maintenance :

o Design and maintain molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures for production.

o Ensure the proper functioning of machinery and recommend upgrades as necessary.

5. Research & Innovation :

o Stay updated on industry trends, advanced materials, and emerging technologies in rubber and silicone manufacturing.

o Drive R&D initiatives to develop new products and improve existing ones.

6. Documentation & Reporting :

o Maintain detailed records of formulations, process trials, equipment specifications, and production workflows.

o Provide regular reports to the CEO on project progress, production efficiency, and innovation outcomes.

7. Collaboration :

o Work closely with production, quality assurance, and sales teams to align R&D efforts with company objectives.

o Provide technical support for troubleshooting and process improvement across departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Proven experience in developing rubber and silicone products, including tubes, hoses, FBD gskets, profiles, and molded components.
• Expertise in setting up production lines, including machinery selection, installation, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of rubber compounding, silicone extrusion, molding processes, and tooling design.
• Ability to troubleshoot production and machinery-related issues effectively.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on achieving timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Degree / Diploma in Polymer Science, Rubber Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
