Hardware Architect
Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Electronics
Hardware. As a Hardware Architect, you will be responsible for the overall technical
solutions, challenges, support for people management and cross functional teams,
ensuring efficient operations and the successful delivery of projects on time. You will play a
key role in driving innovation, fostering a collaborative work environment, and mentoring and
developing a team of talented engineers and technicians.
Technical Responsibilities :
Provide strategic leadership, technical support and direction to the Hardware Engineer’s and Sr. Engineer’s, aligning departmental goals.
Selection of active component & passive components considering design challenges.
Lead the end-to-end design of automotive electronic hardware systems (ECUs, sensors, power modules, etc.)
Define architecture and component selection based on performance, cost, and reliability targets.
Ensure robust design practices including FMEA, DFMA, and tolerance analysis. Oversee schematic capture, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis
Validate designs through simulation, prototyping, and lab testing (EMI-EMC, Electrical and environmental factors)
Ensure all hardware development processes align with IATF 16949 standards and maintain traceability of design inputs, outputs, hardware development processes verification, and validation activities.
Contribute to IP generation and patent filings for novel hardware solutions
Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Support PCB design engineers for placement of critical components, active components and review multiple layer board to release for fabrication.
Strong knowledge of electronic design industry standard protocols, tools and techniques, as well as strong knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFx).
Strong experience with electronics design tools such as electrical CAD, simulation and testing tools (e.g. ORCAD, P-SPICE).
Proficient with microcontroller / microprocessor-based circuit design, signal and power integrity, and hardware debugging.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's / Mater’ s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10+ of relevant experience within the electronics hardware industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team of engineers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Proficient in the use of relevant engineering software and tools.
Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
Experience with IoT device designs will be given priority.
Manage and maintain a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
