Job Title : Director – Architecture
Position Overview
The Director will provide strategic leadership, creative vision, and operational oversight to the architectural practice. As a senior leader, the Director will guide design excellence, client engagement, business development, and project delivery, ensuring that the firm consistently achieves high standards of innovation, quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Define and drive the overall vision, design philosophy, and strategic direction of the firm.
- Oversee multiple project portfolios, ensuring alignment with the firm's goals, values, and brand identity.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainability practices to maintain competitive edge.
Design & Project Delivery
Ensure design quality and innovation across all projects from concept through execution.Provide critical review and direction on design proposals, presentations, and deliverables.Oversee resource allocation, project schedules, and budgetary compliance.Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, codes, and sustainability standards.Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary contact for key accounts.Represent the firm at industry forums, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.Facilitate collaboration with consultants, contractors, and partners to ensure seamless project execution.Business Development & Operations
Identify new business opportunities and lead major pursuits, proposals, and presentations.Develop growth strategies to expand the firm's portfolio and market presence.Collaborate with finance and operations teams to drive profitability, efficiency, and performance.Contribute to recruitment and retention strategies to attract and develop top talent.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's / Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.15+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Strong portfolio of completed projects across diverse typologies (residential, commercial, institutional, or urban).Proven ability to lead large, complex teams and manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.Excellent client management, business development, and communication skills.In-depth knowledge of sustainable design, building technologies, and regulatory frameworks.Software Knowledge (strategic-level, but with working familiarity)
