Job descriptionStrong knowledge of Java and hands-on experience with Java coding. Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps / support roles. Working experience with key AWS services, including but not limited to : Exposure to CI / CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools. Good understanding of infrastructure management on cloud platforms. Basic knowledge of shell scripting or automation scripting is a plus. Experience in the financial services domain is an added advantage. Strong communication skills – written and verbal. Demonstrated ownership and accountability in previous roles. Ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed team environment. Work Mode : 100% Remote Shifts : Rotational (Must be flexible with shift timings) Notice Period : Immediate or as per notice period
Job Description :
We are looking for a Java + AWS DevOps Support Engineer with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in both development and support roles. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AWS services, Java development, and DevOps support activities. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment supporting production systems, deployments, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide DevOps and production support for applications hosted on AWS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation for deployment, monitoring, and system health checks.
- Collaborate with development teams to support Java-based applications.
- Monitor systems using AWS CloudWatch and proactively identify potential issues.
- Perform regular health checks, patching, and maintenance tasks.
- Participate in rotational shifts to support 24x7 operations.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and drive them to resolution.
Technical Skills Required :
o S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda, EBS, Oracle databases, SSM, CloudWatch
o Networking, Firewalls, Connectivity & Storage
