Roles and Responsibilities

Role :

To lead the Lighting system development for all projects, team development & coordination with cross functional teams.

Design lighting system and parts like headlamp, rear lamp, indictor lamps etc as per performance / quality / cost / weight targets and plants manufacturing requirement.

Ensure compliance to regulatory norms.

RFQ generation, Vendor evaluation & Design review.

Coordinate with EEE teams to define interface requirement. Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle DMU from concept stage till finalize design,

considering all functionality, manufacturability, cost & styling intent.

Conduct DR, FMEA (system / design) and apply all such tools in the design phase

Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for such parts.

Derive DVP and ensure compliance / completion.

Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan

Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight

Root cause analysis for quality issues, warranty cases using QC tools and countermeasure action

Define overall activity schedule for all projects, monitor the same periodically and ensure adherence to schedule.
