Job Purpose :
To lead and manage the Credit evaluation and control function, ensuring timely collection of receivables, minimizing credit risk, and maintaining healthy cash flow while supporting business growth and customer relationships
Key Responsibilities :
1. Team management & Governance
- Lead and manage a team of experienced credit controllers across head office and regional offices
- Define and implement credit control procedures (Credit limits, policies) and strategies to manage the divisional credit exposure
- Establish governance mechanisms and define KPIs for performance monitoring of the credit evaluation and control function
2. Cash Flow & Financial Coordination
Liaise with the finance function to ensure healthy cash flow for the division, while driving :ROCE and working capital optimizationReceivables forecasting accuracyReduction in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)3. Reporting & Analytics
Define and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, RSMs, and ZSMs to enable data-driven decision-makingPublish relevant reports and factsheets as per leadership requirements, including : Collection performance summaries, Aging analysis, Exception reports4. Operational Oversight
Coach and support the credit evaluation and control team in managing day-to-day activities using the Accounts Receivable solutionExpedite collection of doubtful debts through a defined escalation workflow and timely exception handling
