Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale data platforms.

The role involves working with Oracle Big Data technologies, Hadoop ecosystems, and Oracle Cloud integrations to build scalable and high-performing data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, configure, and administer Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) environments.
• Perform installation, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning of BDA components.
• Integrate BDA with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and other data sources.
• Manage and support the Hadoop ecosystem HDFS, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka, Oozie, and Sqoop.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability across distributed environments.
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to support ETL, data pipelines, and reporting.
• Automate operational tasks through shell scripting , Python and Spark.
• Implement and manage security, backup, and data recovery for big data environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize big data workloads for performance and efficiency.
• Scheduling with Airflow DAG.
