Job description
  • Experience in IBM AIX Server Administration
  • As this is for a L2 requirement, candidates should have strong skills in installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting of all areas of IBM AIX Server.
  • Administer and maintain AIX systems including LVM, HACMP ,VIO servers, and HMC.
  • Perform OS upgrades and patching on AIX and Red Hat Linux systems.
  • Configure and manage IBM Pacemaker clusters for high availability.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across AIX and Linux environments.
  • Manage logical volumes, file systems, and storage configurations.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and implement system hardening practices.
  • Extensive knowledge on IBM HMc and firmware upgrades
  • Strong knowledge on AIX upgrades from 7.2 to 7.3 and Vio version upgrades
