At Merito, we’re building a data backed decision making platform for D2C brands.

750+ D2C brands use Merito, most of which have found us organically owing to our strong product-led growth. We’re building a unique platform on the intersection of ecommerce analytics and fintech - with a strong AI spine.

Our pre-seed round was led by iSeed, with participation from the founders of Dezerv, Pocket Aces and Paisabazaar, apart from marquee angels and family offices such as Arjun Vaidya.

Are you right for this role?

Must have Attributes

Minimum experience of 3 years as a software engineer in a VC funded tech startup (including internships)

Highly competent with Python

Strong experience with relational databases such as MYSQL or Postgres

Experience working with AWS services

Has experience managing engineers

Power user of AI tools for regular coding

Based in / willing to relocate to Mumbai immediately

Available to start in less than 30 days

Good-to-have Attributes

Highly competent with Typescript (ReactJS and NodeJS)

Experience working with major data science libraries / techniques such as Pandas and Numpy

Experience with OLAP databases such as Clickhouse or Amazon Redshift

Built applications using foundational models such as Gemini or GPT

Has designed data pipelines or platforms

Experience at a company that is an ecommerce tech startup or lending fintech

Did at least 6 months of internships while in college

More than 2 years experience in the same company

Degree in Computer Science with a GPA of 7.0 or higher

Overview of the Job

This is a truly full-stack position that involves executing projects in big data, infrastructure and feature building for the Merito platform.

Execute engineering projects that contribute to the development of the Merito platform

Ideating and implementing product improvements

Ensuring a data infrastructure designed for AI big data analysis

Implementing robust testing and diagnostic processes to ensure smooth product functioning

Implementing state-of-the-art enterprise security and data protection mechanisms
