About the Role
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for all data entry operations, bank reconciliation, and day-to-day accounting activities under the supervision of the Manager – Accounts. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles and accuracy in maintaining financial records.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cash / bank receipts for fees collected.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Scrutinize and record supplier bills.
- Handle cash disbursement for day-to-day expenses.
- Book online payments and prepare cheques / transfers.
- Verify Purchase Orders against approved budgets and maintain records.
- File vouchers and supporting documents on a daily basis.
- Ensure timely payment of telephone, internet, and mobile bills.
- Apply accounting principles in recording, classifying, and summarizing transactions.
- Perform any other responsibilities as delegated by the Manager – Accounts.
Qualifications
Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification.1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes.Hands-on experience with accountancy software (TALLY is a must).Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high integrity.Preferred Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) in addition to TALLY.Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment.
