Senior ETL Data Tester

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced ETL Data Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL testing, data validation, automation frameworks, and data migration projects. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality across various data pipelines and migration activities.

Job Requirement :

4 to 8 years of Strong experience in ETL testing (Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, etc.).
Excellent proficiency in SQL for complex queries and data validation.
Hands-on experience with data migration projects.
Experience in automation testing for data validation (using Python, PyTest, or similar).
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts , data lakes , and BI tools .
Experience with JIRA , Confluence , or similar test management tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting skills

Key Responsibilities :

Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data validation.

Conduct source-to-target data mapping verification and reconciliation.

Validate data migration processes between legacy systems and target data warehouses / lakes.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Python, SQL, or automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, or custom data validation scripts) .

Work closely with ETL developers and data engineers to identify and resolve data issues.

Perform data profiling and ensure data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.

Create and maintain detailed test documentation and defect tracking.

Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Good to Have :

Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.

Exposure to Big Data testing (Hive, Spark, Kafka).

Experience with CI / CD pipelines for test automation.

Familiarity with API testing and data validation using Postman or REST Assured .
