Position - APIGEE and Middleware architectLocation - Pune / Nagpur - RemoteDuration - Full timeJob DescriptionCore Apigee Expertise (Deep Hands-On Experience)Extensive Apigee Platform Knowledge : You must have a deep understanding of all Apigee form factors : Apigee X, Apigee Hybrid, Apigee Edge Cloud, and Apigee OPDK (on-premises). This includes the ability to choose the right form factor for a given business requirement and architect for seamless integration.API Security Mastery : A senior architect must be an expert in API security. This includes : Implementing and configuring various OAuth 2.0 flows (e.g., authorization code, client credentials, PKCE).JWT validation and management.API key validation and management.Implementing and enforcing security policies to protect APIs from common threats.Advanced Proxy Development : You should be a master of Apigee proxy development, including : Designing and implementing complex, reusable shared flows .Developing and integrating custom policies.Configuring and optimizing caching, quotas, spike arrest, and other traffic management policies.Implementing advanced fault handling and external logging.Multi-Cloud and Infrastructure KnowledgeCloud Platform Fluency : You need to have strong working knowledge of at least two major cloud platforms , primarily Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and either AWS or Azure . This includes : Understanding their networking components (VPCs, VPC peering, subnets, etc.) and their configure for Apigee connectivity.Knowing how to integrate Apigee with their various services (e.g., Cloud DNS, Load Balancers, etc.).Containerization and Orchestration : A senior architect must have good knowledge about Kubernetes (GKE, AKS, EKS) and Docker , as they are the backbone of multi-cloud and hybrid Apigee architectures. This includes an understanding of how to deploy, manage, and scale Apigee Hybrid on these platforms.Architectural and Leadership SkillsSolution Design : Proven experience in designing end-to-end API management solutions. This includes not only the Apigee platform but also the surrounding infrastructure, CI / CD pipelines, and monitoring systems. You should be able to create detailed architectural documents and diagrams.Technical Leadership : You will be expected to lead by example. This includes : Guiding development teams on best practices for API design and Apigee proxy development.Mentoring junior architects and engineers.Conducting architectural reviews and providing constructive feedback.Client and Stakeholder Engagement : A senior architect often serves as a key client-facing role. Strong communication and presentation skills are crucial for : Gathering requirements from business stakeholders.Presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.Serving as a trusted advisor to clients on their API strategy.DevOps and CI / CD : Experience in setting up and managing automated deployment pipelines for Apigee proxies and shared flows using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform . This is critical for maintaining consistency and efficiency in a multi-cloud setup.Other QualificationEducation and Certifications : A bachelor's degree in a STEAM field is often required, or equivalent practical experience.
