Lead Engineer (Web / Frontend)

Role Overview : We are looking for a

Lead Frontend Engineer

with strong expertise in

React.js and JavaScript

to lead and mentor a team of frontend developers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, and building scalable, high-performance web applications while ensuring best practices in code quality, UI / UX, and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead, mentor, and guide a team of frontend developers in delivering high-quality web applications.

Own the design and development of scalable, reusable, and maintainable front-end components using

React.js, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

Establish and enforce

coding standards, best practices, and performance optimizations

Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality across the team.

Drive adoption of new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development efficiency.

Manage project timelines, technical debt, and provide technical leadership in architecture discussions.

Ensure applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and cross-browser / device compatibility.

Stay updated with the latest trends in

frontend development, React ecosystem, and JavaScript frameworks

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5-7+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 1 + years in a lead / mentorship role

Strong expertise in

React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, Redux (or other state management tools)

Solid understanding of

HTML5, CSS3, SASS / LESS, and responsive web design principles

Experience with

RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integration with backend services

Proficiency in frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel, Vite, etc.) and package managers (npm, yarn).

Familiarity with

testing frameworks

(Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.).

Experience in performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG / ARIA), and SEO best practices.

Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines, Git, and agile development practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and communication skills.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills) :

Knowledge of Next.js or other SSR frameworks.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Familiarity with micro-frontends and modular architectures.

Exposure to design systems and UI libraries (Material UI, Ant Design, Tailwind CSS).

Contribution to open-source projects or personal portfolio of frontend projects.
