Software Engineer (Python + TypeScript) – Remote, Immediate Joiner

About the role :

We’re seeking a talented Software Engineer (1 to 3 years of experience) to join our team, where you’ll work with an early stage fintech AI startup building innovative products at the intersection of finance and artificial intelligence.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on backend architecture and data-driven systems, with meaningful contributions to product experience. You’ll help design, develop, and optimise APIs, core logic, and backend infrastructure while collaborating closely with the product team.

# What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI).
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless full-stack functionality.
• Design and optimise database schemas, queries, and data flows (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices.
• Leverage AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to enhance development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration workflows.
• Work closely with product and data teams to design scalable solutions for fintech and AI-driven features.
