Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare Maintenance Budget and Annual Maintenance Plans.
- Create CAPEX plan in consultation with HODs and submit for approval.
- Lead and coach the maintenance team.
- Supervise Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation Engineers.
- Ensure Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance of all plants.
- Manage maintenance of Infrastructure, Boiler, Electrical, Utilities, and Control Systems.
- Plan and manage inventory; specify parts / equipment and conduct technical evaluation of offers.
- Ensure continued compliance to standards and maintain relevant certifications.
- Handle statutory compliances and liaison with IBR, PESO, Electrical Inspector, etc.
- Oversee work distribution, team performance monitoring, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide assistance in projects, inventory control, procurement of plant & machinery.
- Support enhancements and modifications to infrastructure and plant operations.
- Drive 5S Activities, TPM, WCM, ISO, and other continuous improvement programs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant plant environment.
- Conduct training and motivate workers on workplace safety practices.
- Perform daily plant rounds to inspect housekeeping and safety practices.
- Encourage and act on suggestions from workmen for safety and productivity.
- Record and investigate all accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Report findings and potential hazards to Department Heads or HSE department.
- Implement safety recommendations and improvements.
- Provide regular feedback to superiors on safety issues and suggest improvements.
- Lead or participate in safety studies.
- Conduct regular GPI (Good Practice Inspection) rounds and implement suggestions.
