Sankey Solutions - Power BI Developer - DAX / Query M

Key Responsibilities :

• Dashboard & Report Development : Design and develop interactive and visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Data Transformation : Utilize Power Query (M language) to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Data Modeling & DAX : Create and manage efficient data models.
• Write complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas to create custom measures, calculated columns, and tables.
• Database Integration : Connect to and query data from databases such as SQL Server and Azure SQL DB.
• ETL & Data Pipelines : Assist in the design and maintenance of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support reporting needs.
• Security & Gateway Management : Implement and configure Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure data privacy and security.
• Manage and maintain the Power BI Gateway for on-premise data connectivity.
• Collaboration : Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide insights, and deliver data-driven solutions that support Skills & Qualifications :
• Experience : 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer.
• Power BI : Strong proficiency in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Data Languages : Expertise in DAX and Power Query (M language).
• Databases : Hands-on experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL DB.
• Data Concepts : Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and star schema / snowflake schema design.
• Security & Administration : Experience with implementing RLS and managing the Power BI Gateway.
• Soft Skills : Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
