We are now expanding across the transport ecosystem and looking for domain-experienced Business Development professionals who understand the operational pulse of the industry — fleet dispatch, route planning, LRs, e-PODs, billing, and compliance .
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager (Transport Tech) , you’ll drive CargoClave’s adoption among transporters, fleet owners, 3PLs, and large shippers .
This is a consultative sales role that requires practical domain knowledge, relationship-building skills, and the ability to show clients how technology can reduce empty miles, improve fleet utilization, and simplify documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Outreach
- Identify and connect with fleet operators, transporters, and logistics service providers in major trucking hubs and corridors.
- Use your professional network and on-ground knowledge to build a strong prospect list.
- Manage sales funnel through CRM and regular follow-ups.
2. Solution Selling
Understand client workflows : dispatch planning, vehicle allocation, LR generation, e-way bills, trip sheets, e-POD, and freight billing.Conduct demos across key modules :Fleet & Consignment TrackingRoute Optimisation and ETA visibilityDriver & Trip Performance DashboardsDocument Management & Compliance AutomationPosition CargoClave as a productivity and visibility enhancer, not just a tracking tool.3. Partnerships & Channels
Build relationships with transport associations, ERP / TMS vendors, and telematics partners to create channel sales opportunities.Represent CargoClave at logistics expos, transport meets, and industry gatherings.4. Pipeline & Closures
Manage complete sales cycle from first contact → demo → proposal → negotiation → closure.Coordinate with product and implementation teams for smooth client onboarding.5. Market Feedback & Intelligence
Gather insights on pricing, GPS integration, document pain-points, and route analytics to inform product roadmap.Candidate Profile
Experience :
3–8 years in transport, fleet tech, logistics automation, TMS, or telematics sales .Prior relationships with fleet owners, transporters, or 3PL operators is a strong plus.Skills :
Deep understanding of transport operations, dispatch cycles, route management, and documentation flow .Strong communication and consultative selling abilities.Ability to quantify ROI (fuel savings, trip efficiency, reduced paperwork).Mindset :
