About us : Payfederate is a Silicon Valley-based startup founded by serial entrepreneurs dedicated to building innovative products in HR technology. We're seeking a talented and experienced Lead QA Engineer to join our team and help us create, improve and protect the quality of our software.

Role Description :

We're looking for a highly skilled and proactive Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to create and drive our testing and quality processes, build a culture of quality, and lead our QA team to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our software products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Create frameworks from the stretch.
  • Develop and implement QA plans, testing scripts, and testing methodologies to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers to identify, reproduce, and document bugs and defects.
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Manage all aspects of QA including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a quality assurance role, including manual and automation
  • Proven experience in QA methodology and tools, with a track record in implementing QA standards, tools, metrics, and practices.
  • Excellent understanding of development and project methodologies, particularly Agile and DevOps.
  • Solid knowledge of Java, selenium, SQL, and scripting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and strong leadership abilities.
  • Understanding and experience test AI models is a plus.
