Windchill Developer

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and implement Windchill customizations, extensions, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain Windchill workflows, lifecycle templates, policies, and business rules.
• Build and maintain custom APIs, services, and interfaces to integrate Windchill with other enterprise systems (ERP, CAD, CRM, etc.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize Windchill system performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Maintain documentation for customizations, configurations, and code deployments.
• Stay updated with Windchill releases, new features, and best practices to continually improve system functionality.
• Support upgrade and migration projects for Windchill PLM Qualifications :
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Windchill development and customization.
• Strong proficiency in Java and related technologies used in Windchill development.
• Hands-on experience with Windchill APIs, Info-Engine, Method Server customization, and web services (SOAP / REST).
• Experience with Windchill PDMLink, ProjectLink, or other Windchill modules.
• Familiarity with PLM business processes and product lifecycle concepts.
• Solid understanding of database systems (Oracle, SQL) and writing efficient queries.
• Experience with build and deployment tools, version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork Skills :
• Windchill certification or formal Windchill training.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS for UI customization.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Exposure to integration middleware and messaging systems.
• Experience working in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or engineering domains
