About the Role :

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. As a fresher, you will learn and assist in managing, monitoring, and optimizing databases hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about database technologies and cloud infrastructure, eager to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud-hosted databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, Cloud SQL).

Monitor database performance and availability using cloud-native tools.

Ensure data security, backup, and recovery processes are implemented and adhered to.

Support migration of databases to the cloud from on-premises systems.

Assist in creating users, roles, and permission policies for database access.

Troubleshoot basic database issues with guidance from senior DBAs.

Document procedures, configurations, and operational best practices.

Collaborate with the DevOps and development teams for database-related needs.

Required Skills & Knowledge :

Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.

Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) and their database offerings.

Knowledge of database backup, restore, and disaster recovery fundamentals.

Awareness of database security best practices.

Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Educational Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Cloud certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner / Azure Fundamentals / Google Cloud Digital Leader) will be an added advantage.

Preferred (Good to Have) :

Academic projects or internships involving database management.

Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.
