Position : Head Accountant – Nirmaan Group

Location : Andheri East, Mumbai

Employment Type : Full-Time, On-Site

About the Role

The Nirmaan Group is a diversified enterprise with activities spanning beverages, manufacturing, and international trade. We are seeking an experienced Head Accountant to oversee and strengthen our accounting function.

With a dedicated team already in place, the Head Accountant will be responsible for streamlining operations, maintaining oversight, and ensuring that the accounts department — the financial backbone of the company — runs smoothly, independently, and with zero tolerance for errors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the accounts team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Independently prepare and file GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
  • Maintain and review books of accounts, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Implement systems to minimize errors and strengthen internal financial controls.
  • Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure audit readiness, liaising directly with statutory auditors.
  • Provide financial insights and compliance updates to senior management.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10–15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Proven expertise in independently managing statutory filings and tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and corporate taxation.
  • Prior leadership experience managing accounting teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
