Job Description :

As the 2D Animator, you will be animating anime-style characters (faces + body) for short-format cinematic animated movies. Using provided character designs from our illustrators, you will bring them to life through expressive facial emotions, body gestures, and smooth motion that matches the cinematic flow.

Responsibilities :

Animate 2D characters characters (face + body) for short-format cinematic movies and reels, with occasional environment / prop movement.

Work from given sketches / concept art to create expressive character movements (face, body, emotions).

Animate dialogues, gestures, and subtle emotional beats in a soulful, cinematic style.

Collaborate with illustrators, concept artists, and the director to ensure storytelling intent is preserved.

Prepare animation assets for compositing and final edit.

Iterate quickly on feedback from the creative director and animation team.

Maintain consistency in style, timing, and visual storytelling across episodes.

Requirements :

1- 2 years of experience as a 2D Animator.

Proficiency in Adobe Animate / After Effects / Toon Boom Harmony (or equivalent 2D animation tools).

Strong understanding of character acting, timing, and emotional expression.

Ability to work with 45° and side-angle character perspectives.

Good knowledge of motion principles, anticipation, squash-and-stretch, and lip sync.

Strong portfolio / reel showcasing expressive 2D character animation.

Full-time role, work from office, in Bangalore.

Nice-to-Have :

Freshers with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply.

Background in cinematic animation, anime-inspired or storytelling-heavy projects.

Experience with VFX, motion graphics, or compositing.

Familiarity with stock market, mythology, or astrology themes (not mandatory but a plus).

Additional Requirements

Must share a strong portfolio (ArtStation, Behance, or similar) showcasing anime-style facial expressions, lip sync, and character body movement.

At least one example of frame-by-frame 2D character animation (front, side, ¾ view).

Understanding of timing, squash-and-stretch, anticipation, and emotional storytelling.

Demonstrated ability to animate in a cinematic style (not just looping cycles).

A short animation test will be required to assess expressions, timing, and storytelling clarity.
