We are expanding our manufacturing operations and looking for a proactive Junior Production Supervisor to support our team at the Sonipat plant.
Role Overview :
The Junior Production Supervisor will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end production process by ensuring efficient utilization of resources, maintaining quality standards, coordinating manpower, and minimizing downtime. This is a shop-floor supervisory role requiring hands-on involvement and close monitoring of daily production metrics.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Production Management
- Supervise and assist with daily production activities as per the production plan.
- Ensure proper allocation of manpower and monitor their performance and discipline.
- Ensure timely startup and closure of shifts, minimizing idle time.
2. Quality Assurance
Monitor in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) team for any deviation or non-conformance.Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and hygiene of finished goods.3. Process Monitoring & Improvement
Track production output and report daily production data to the Production Manager.Identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements for efficiency.Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials and reduction in wastage.4. Equipment & Safety
Ensure all machinery and equipment are in working condition.Report equipment issues immediately to the maintenance department.Enforce safety protocols and ensure the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) on the shop floor.5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily logs including production quantity, manpower, downtime, and shift handover notes.Update stock registers for raw materials and packaging materials used during shifts.6. Team Collaboration
Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and quality teams for smooth operations.Help train new production workers in operating procedures and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).Key Skills Required :
Working knowledge of FMCG / food manufacturing processes.Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.Good communication and reporting skills.Attention to detail and ability to manage shift pressure.Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting tools).Understanding of FSSAI and HACCP guidelines (preferred).Working Conditions :
Factory / shop-floor environment – standing / walking for long hours.Shift-based work with extended hours.Must be comfortable managing semi-skilled / unskilled labor.Education
