General Accident Underwriter

Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accident Underwriter to join our team. In this role, you will assess insurance applications, analyze risk factors, and determine appropriate coverage options to ensure the protection of our clients while maintaining profitability for the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and determine risk levels associated with potential clients.
• Analyze and interpret data to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Communicate with agents and brokers to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions.
• Review and modify existing policies as needed to reflect changes in risk or client circumstances.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and client interactions.
• Collaborate with claims and risk management teams to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact underwriting practices.

Required Qualifications : 3-5 years of experience in underwriting or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications : Experience in general accident insurance is a plus. Familiarity with relevant software and underwriting guidelines will be advantageous.

Skills And Competencies

Education and Certifications : Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPCU or AU are preferred.
