To accelerate our deep tech roadmap, we are hiring for an equity-based early hardware role suited for someone who wants to build cutting-edge wearable devices and grow into a leadership position.
Role Overview
We are looking for a driven Hardware and IoT Product Engineer with complete experience in designing, prototyping, and manufacturing wearable devices. Experience working with manufacturers in China or other global regions is preferred.
This position is for Head of Hardware Engineering, with strong experience in building smartwatches, smart rings, fitness wearables, and medical-grade IoT devices.
This role is ideal for someone with :
Deep expertise in hardware and embedded systems
Hands-on experience with China OEM and ODM manufacturers
A passion for building meaningful, user-focused products
The drive to join an early-stage deep tech team and eventually lead hardware efforts

Key Responsibilities :
Deep Tech Hardware Development
Design and build electronics for next-generation wearables.
Integrate sensors such as PPG, ECG, HRV, SpO2, temperature, accelerometer and gyroscope.
Improve signal accuracy and reduce noise.
Optimize power consumption, battery life and overall device design.
AI and Embedded Intelligence
Work with the AI team to support predictive health models and anomaly detection.
Build firmware that supports real-time sensor intelligence and cloud-based processing.
Prototyping, Testing and Firmware
Lead the full hardware lifecycle from prototype to mass production (POC, EVT, DVT, PVT).
Develop firmware in C and C++ for low-power microcontrollers such as ARM Cortex, NRF52 and ESP32.
Debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other testing tools.
Manufacturing and China Collaboration(Not Mandatory but it will be a added advantage)
Work directly with manufacturers in Shenzhen, Dongguan and Guangzhou.
Validate samples, review BOM, manage DFM and supervise production.
Ensure manufacturing quality, reliability and cost efficiency.
Documentation and Certifications
Prepare schematics, PCB files, Gerber files, BOM and test documentation.
Support certification processes including CE, FCC, BIS and battery safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of experience in electronics or wearable IoT development
Strong knowledge of embedded systems, PCB design and low-power hardware
Hands-on experience with BLE, sensor integration and wearable hardware
Proven experience building smartwatches, smart rings or medical IoT devices
Direct experience working with China-based manufacturers
Proficiency with Altium, Eagle or OrCAD, and firmware development in C and C++
Strong debugging, problem-solving and documentation skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with PPG, ECG and HRV signal processing
Exposure to ML or DSP for health signal analysis
Knowledge of sensor calibration and filtering
Startup or early-team experience
